Hiking is an amazing experience! Kristianstad offers a variety of hiking trails, along the coast, through forests and over ridges. Regardless of the season, there is something for all nature lovers.
Tips on hiking trails
There are lots of possibilities for a rich outdoor life. Nature is right around the corner, no preparation required, no cost and accessible to everyone, just go out.
Outdoor areas
In our outdoor areas, you can hike in open meadows, beautiful beech forests, along the coast or magical spruce forest.
Hike in and near the city
The city of Kristianstad is close to nature. Starting in central Kristianstad, there are several hiking trails. If you want to stay only in the city, "Kristianstad on your own" might suit. You go on a walking tour to visit the city's historical sights. If you fancy more nature, the Linnérundan and Näsby trails take you out into the unique Vattenriket.
Hiking along the coast
Hanö Bay's long coastal stretch offers hiking all year round. You can walk along the entire Hanö Bay on the Skåneleden SL6 Vattenriket. For shorter tours, there is Äspet nature reserve south of Åhus harbor. Here you have the opportunity for bird watching at the shallow lagoon facing the sea or hiking in Kronoskogen. In the Friseboda nature reserve, there are small walking paths both on sand and in the magical pine forest. Around Yngsjö there are various hiking suggestions of varying lengths.
Hiking in the forest
Landskapet kring Kjugekull består av hagmark, lövskog och unika jätteblock med motsom passar hela familjen. Missa inte utsikten över sjöarna! Andra vandringar som bjuder på härlig utsikt är Ivö klack och Balsberget.
Vid Bockebodaskogen tar stigarna dig genom både djup granskog och lövskog. Eller varför inte testa Arkelstorpvikens vandringsled.
The landscape around Kjugekull consists of grassland, deciduous forest and unique giant boulders with hiking paths suitable for the whole family. Don't miss the view of the lakes! Other hikes that offer lovely views are Ivö klack and Balsberget.
At Bockebodaskogen, the paths take you through both deep fir forest and deciduous forest. Or why not try the Arkelstorpviken hiking trail.
Hiking on Skåneleden
Skåneleden is always marked with an orange marking that makes it easy to follow the trail in nature. Three of the trails passes through the area near Kristianstad and Åhus.
On Skåneleden SL1 Coast to Coast you walk in forest and by the lake across northern Skåne, from Sölvesborg in the east to Ängeholm and Båstad in the west. In the border area with Österlen, the stretch from Åstorp to Brösarp on Skåneleden SL3 runs ridge to ridge. Skåneleden SL6 Vattenriket stretches from north to south and offers varied walks along beach meadows and the coast, but also passes the renaissance city of Kristianstad and medieval Åhus.
Tips walk on Näsby
